Murphy’s Law – “things will go wrong in any given situation, if you give them a chance,” or more commonly, “whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.”
Indeed.
A few days ago, a new domain was added to the Hatrack Productions server, in a sub-directory. The allinall.ca domain is the master domain and is seated at the root of the server, containing the old original All In All website files, AND the new website files. When WordPress software was uploaded to the recently created sub-directory containing the new domain, the Server Gods decided that it would be laughs & giggles to overwrite two vital files in the root that had the same name as two new files in the sub-directory.
Unfortunately, this rendered the new All In All website useless. The Admin login page was gone, the posts were gone, it was a mess. Using backups (always, always, backup your site), we probably could have resurrected the website in the root. Maybe. However, we made the decision to rebuild it from scratch inside a new sub-directory in order to hide it from the Server Gods. Because, they are evil. Trust us!
So, it will be an on-going process rebuilding and redesigning, transferring all the information from the old original website to this site, and keeping you up-to-date on the newest developments regarding the ALL IN ALL IT’S JUST 10 YEAR REUNION. We have some catching up to do. Bear with us.
